These terms apply when you use thebearhome.co.uk or purchase something from us.
Products
I do my best to photograph and describe everything accurately but colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, lighting and display settings. Small variations may occur and are not considered faults.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the website at the time of purchase.
Payment is taken securely through the payment options made available through the Squarespace checkout.
I do not directly receive or store your full payment card details.
Orders
An order is accepted once your order has been successfully placed and payment has been accepted.
If I am unable to fulfil an order for any reason, I will contact you and refund the amount paid for the unavailable item.
I reserve the right to cancel an order where the order cannot reasonably be fulfilled. Any payment taken for a cancelled order will be refunded.
Original artwork
Original artwork is unique and cannot be replaced with an identical item.
Purchases of original artwork are final sale, except where you have a legal right to cancel or where the artwork arrives damaged or faulty.
You still have your statutory consumer rights.
Prints, books and other products
Consumer law gives you a right to cancel an online purchase. Please see the Returns & Refunds Policy.
Intellectual property
The artwork, illustrations, photographs, written material, designs and other original content on The Bear Home website and in The Bear Home products remain the intellectual property of their respective creator.
Buying an original painting, print, book or other product does not transfer copyright in the artwork to the buyer.
Products are for personal use only.
Artwork or other content may not be copied, reproduced, scanned, commercially printed, sold as another product, distributed or used commercially.
Gallery submissions
The online gallery is intended to celebrate artwork made by members of the community, including children.
A child's artwork must be submitted by their parent or legal guardian.
By submitting artwork and including the words “I give permission to be featured”, the parent or guardian confirms that:
they have authority to give that permission;
they give The Bear Home permission to display the submitted artwork on the The Bear Home website and/or The Bear Home social-media accounts;
any information they provide for publication may be displayed alongside the artwork; and
the submission does not infringe somebody else's copyright or other rights.
The artist keeps ownership of their artwork. Permission to feature it does not transfer ownership to The Bear Home.
A parent or guardian can ask for a gallery submission to be removed by emailing sarah@thebearhome.co.uk. I will remove it from places under my control within a reasonable period, although I cannot guarantee removal of copies that have already been shared or saved by third parties.
